Ar08
Hi I went solo with a travelling group for my first ever trek to Kedarkantha in December 2022. The trek though I would say was moderate while climbing and somewhat easy through the descent. Fitness did pose a little bit of a challenge specially since it was winter and my first ever trek. Additionally, I am not into fitness or a regular regime for any sports or activities. Now, I wish to explore more treks in the spring/monsoon time which might be suitable for an inexperienced trekker like me though I certainly want to go for a trek that can pose as a more challenging one than Kedarkantha. Please suggest some suitable treks! Thanks Edited January 1 by Ar08
Soudipan Maity
Start off with the Hampta Pass trek this monsoon. It's a hell of a trek for those starting out with trekking. You get fantastic scenery changes on each day and the final climb is extremely rewarding if you manage to get a clear day to get a bird's eye view of the Lahaul valley. You do have ample time to get into a good fitness routine before the trek starts.
