Ramya
Hi trekkers , I have been walking in my new hiking shoes to break them in, and am anticipating some blisters near my toes. I sense discomfort near toes while I walk, maybe cos it is new pair of shoes. Question: do you tape your toes or any blister hotspot as a preventive measure before trekking? What should one do to prevent discomfort while trekking. I'm going on my first trek soon and would like to be prepared. I hav watched IH videos on treating a blister. But would wanna know preventive measure. Much thanks Edited October 22, 2022 by Ramya
SuhasSaya
Hi Ramya This is a very common concern when using a new shoe. We have actually shared a couple of hacks in a video on how to prevent blisters - I have tried this and it works really well. Good luck with the new shoes and your trek! 🙂
Zeus
using tape on blister hotspots and using talcum powder in my socks to keep my feet dry helped me
