sir_car
More information about the narrow steep section ? I don't like heights. My fear has drastically reduced after doing treks. But still.. From the phulara trek description- Quote The only section that requires a lot of attention from the trekkers and the trek organisation is the crossing of the section. This stretch is a narrow trail with openings on either side. This can get tricky to navigate on hazy days, bad weather, or when there is snow. Is there a picture or video of it ? How narrow , slippery is this portion ? Possible to get more details please. Thanks

Coming to the Phulara Ridge trek, yes, the ridge is a section where you need to be aware of your footing and to be mindful. However, it isn't something which is too scary for trekkers. The space is good for one trekker on the trail and can be navigated well. I am attaching a few photos from our archives here related to this section of the ridge. You can even watch this video from one of our trekkers who has done the trek - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=omQZipm_J3Y Hope this helps 🙂
sir_car
Hi @SuhasSaya That looks amazing and not that scary. But its a ridge trek, and open on both sides.. Maybe I'll go there 🙂 I have done a few easy treks, of which hardest was beas kund. It had a fairly narrow section near the top, with a steep slope on one side, and since it was during monsoon. I was slipping there, so that made it a bit scary.
sir_car
Another question: Could the terrain be slippery during the last week of november ?
Hazel
Hi, The terrain wouldn't be slippery during the last week of November but if it snows and the snow becomes hard, it might become slippery. However, if this do happen then we will provide micro spikes & gaiters. Hope this helps 🙂
Kaustubh
How is the first or second batch of May for views and stargazing? I understand there will be snow in some patches but will the weather be relatively clear for views?
Swaroop
The path does look a bit scary, will Indiahikes provide ropes to cross this section?
Nitesh
Hi Swaroop, I have personally trekked there and these are nice walkable path. Never at once I felt that it's tricky or rope is required and not even handhold is needed. Don't be worried, you will just keep embracing the views while walking on the ridge and ledge.
