I am pregnant now. How long before I can trek safely again?

Hey Kusum! Firstly congratulations 🙂 it's cool that youre planning your trek post childbirth now itself!

Though i don't have kids, as a doctor, i feel you can safely give 3 months if you'll have a normal delivery and 6 months if you have a Cesarean section, plus atleast 1 month of preparation before you go on a Himalayan trek... Childbirth stretches the abdominal wall muscles, which are very important for trekking, so you'll need to focus on strengthening them post delivery.

Apart from that, cardio workouts you can soon after delivery itself, after consulting with your doctor and a trained instructor
