Kedarkantha on Jan - Forest walk

Recommended Posts

Jan 2nd 2022 to Kedarkantha trek. It was my first snow trek and I was seeing snow for first time

We had 4 days of continuous snowfall.

Snowfall cannot be captured on camera properly because what you experience is a cold soft breeze of white cotton falling very calmly .

The first thing I noticed is that walking on powdered snow is like walking on a cake / foam bed. You see exact prints of your shoe sole on the trail.

The autumn leaves glow from underneath with the freshly fallen snow on top.

As we were walking on the forest trail, at times, suddenly snow started showering from the tree branches, as if it were a form of blessing received from these trees. Although it's -1 degrees outside, the joy in my heart kept me warm.

Have never been so thankful when sun was out after the 4th day!

My hands were freezing...my shoes and socks were getting wet after a snow fight , But I felt so alive in the moment that complaining felt like waste of time.
